Re-HEAT

Re-HEAT lets you resurface 13 miles with a budget that only covers 10 miles using an in-place road surface rehabilitation process that restores cracked, brittle, and irregular, worn asphalt pavement without the need for an overlay.

Any roadways that possess a stable and structurally adequate base are appropriate candidates for this process—many of your proposed projects may be perfectly suitable.

Contact us, as the depth and nature of the existing materials must be evaluated prior to construction.

The Re-HEAT Process

  1. The current road surface is softened with radiant convection heat.
  2. The top layer is removed with a rotary blade system that dislodges the material for processing.
  3. Asphalt emulsion additives are injected to reconstitute the new asphalt.
  4. The on-board heated mixing plant uniformly blends the additives with the asphalt.
  5. The new asphalt is immediately placed to the correct slope and grade.
  6. While still hot, the newly recycled asphalt is rolled to final compaction.
  7. No overlay is required.
